Hello!

September 23, 2022 by Thehopesteader 2 Comments

Welcome to my Hopesteader world! My name is Gabrielle, I am a wife and mother to 4 great kids. I cook most of our meals from scratch and homeschool our kids. We love to be outside with animals and preserving food to use later. In 2020 we ended up selling our farm that we were restoring to go in search of a new place to call home. One thing after another and we are still not quite “home”. This is where the hope part comes in. I still have hope that we will get to our farm. I believe that there is one out there for our family.

This was an old picture we found of our farm. We believe it was from the 40’s. The bottom picture was what we got it too after many hours and many dump runs. If you want to hear about that adventure, click here.

What is a Hopesteader?

The name Hopesteader came as a play on the term homesteader. In the world we live in today, I have seen and met many people who have said that they have lost hope in this or that. Maybe it is a dream to live a certain lifestyle that you have lost hope in. I want to encourage you to bring that hope back to life. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” is a verse from the Bible in Hebrews (11:1). The definition of Hope: a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

This is our Hopesteader family! It’s so nice to meet you!

Are you like us and still searching for your “home” let’s start with blooming where we are planted? We need to look at where we are and what it is we CAN do or learn to get us closer to where we want to be. If you happen to already be at your home, I am so happy for you! I’m sure there are still things that you want to learn, let me know what they are?
