Do you like to have fresh whole grain flours at your fingertips? Do you like to be prepared for shortages? Maybe you like to buy bulk to save money? A grain mill is a great idea if you answered yes to any of these questions. The next question is, “Gabrielle, which one?”. Well, I just got a Mockmill, click here to see which one I got, I love it! I also have a hand crank country mill, and I do like it. It makes beautiful flour, but it takes a lot of work to crank it and get enough flour to make a daily loaf or two of fresh bread. The Mockmill however, needs very little effort to make the flour!

The Mockmill 100 grinds 100g per minute.
How to use it!
The Mockmill is very easy and user friendly. It is a plug and go machine. When you receive it, it is well packaged for its journey to you. As you unpack it you will find that there is an instruction manual/owner’s manual. After reading through to find any safety precautions you need to take, you’ll find that you will need to run one load of grains through to debur and run any factory smells out. Make sure that you always turn the machine on before you add the grains into the hopper and that you have a bowl under the spout!
- Plug in your Mockmill and switch the toggle to your desired grind setting
- Place your bowl under the spout.
- Turn on the Mockmill
- Pour your grains into the Hopper
- Once the hopper is empty turn off the machine
- Enjoy your freshly ground whole grain flour.
Cleaning
I have not needed to clean my Mockmill yet, and I don’t expect to need to soon. The manual says that you run some grains through and as it is running you just switch from the larger grind to the smaller grind a few times, so it doesn’t seem to be hard to do. I will update when I clean it for the first time and let you know.
